Who Restockd is for
It was built for restaurants. It fits any small business that buys roughly the same list every week, from more than a couple of suppliers.
Three questions. Yes to all three and it will fit.
There is no trial to sign up for, so it is worth being honest about this before we speak.
You buy the same things again and again, from three or more suppliers.
Somebody physically checks what is needed before an order goes in.
More than one person could do the ordering, if they were allowed to.
Trades that run it the same way
Restaurants, cafés, bars and pizzerias
The original. Seven suppliers, one head chef who knew them all, and a Friday that punishes anything you forgot.
A count on a docket, a couple of WhatsApp threads, an email each to the dry goods and the dairy, and a phone call to the fishmonger.
Sections match the walk-in, the dry store and the bar. One walk round, one review, and every supplier gets their own order before their cut-off.
Farm shops, delis, bakeries and convenience stores
The same suppliers and the same weekly order, without a kitchen. Usually more accounts than a restaurant, and smaller amounts on each.
Counts done on the shop floor between customers, then written up at the end of the day from memory.
The list lives on the phone in your apron. Each supplier cut-off is held against them, so an early one does not get missed.
Care homes and nurseries
Food, cleaning, PPE and consumables, normally across several accounts and more than one budget holder.
Whoever is on shift writes what they need on a whiteboard, and somebody types it up when they get a minute.
Staff raise the order themselves, inside their own permissions. It waits for an approver, and the audit log records who did what.
When it is not the right tool
Restockd handles the ordering. It does not value your stock, cost your recipes or work out gross profit. If that is what you are after you want an inventory system, and Restockd will sit alongside one rather than replace it.
It also earns its keep on repeat buying. If every order you place is different and you rarely buy the same thing twice, there is not a lot for it to remember.
Not sure whether it fits?
Tell us who you buy from and how you order today. Twenty minutes on the phone will tell us both.
